The Center offers free, ongoing groups and workshops on a variety of issues. Support groups, workshops and events are held Monday-Thursday at specific times throughout the day. Most groups and workshops are drop-in. Free child care is available during support groups. Pre-enrollment is required for all groups marked with an asterisk (*).

Anger Management Classes for Parents*

A safe space to explore self-defeating behaviors. Gain the skills, tools, and models to recognize, understand, and learn from your anger.
Mondays, 6:45 – 8:00 PM

Homework Club!

Starting August 22, The playroom staff will be available to help your school-age children complete their homework assignments while you enjoy the comfort of our PDI room. Please be sure that your children come prepared with the necessary supplies (pencils, paper, etc.) as well as their assignments.

Family Dinner*

An eight-week group for mothers focusing on self-esteem, confidence, and stress management.

Parents of Adolescents Group
For parents of adolescents, ages 13 through 17.

The teenage years can be a difficult time for parents not only because of their children’s rapid growth and development, but also societal pressure.       
This is a 10 week group. New cycle begins January 11th on Wednesdays, 6:30 - 8:00 pm

Parenting Support Group

Separation and Divorce Group (for single or soon-to-be-single parents)

ENROLL in this new group to receive and give support, and to learn strategies for helping yourself and your children navigate this often turbulent time of transition.
Eight-week cycles, beginning October 18th; Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.

Substance Abuse Services
The Center provides supportive substance abuse services for parents whose substance use is seriously interfering with the well-being of both themselves and the children they care for. Services include crisis intervention, short-term substance abuse counseling and group support for parents and children.The Center hosts regular AA and NA groups and offers free childcare in our Children’s Playroom.
